Jumping on People

Coming home from work. Typical owner. Typical dog. Dog jumps up, owner bends down, pets, squeals, drops to their knees. Owner just rewarded the jump.

Dog does it again tomorrow, harder. The puppy becomes a 100-lb GSD jumping on your 8-year-old niece.

The fix: when you walk in, you stop. Have the dog sit. Don't act like a buffoon. No "oh I missed you." You're just rewarding the jump.
